Job Opportunity: CNC Machine Operator.

Location: Nottingham, UK

Salary: 30,000+ (can be very flexible depending on experience) plus overtime.

Shifts: Days, Monday to Thursday (7:30 am - 4:30 pm), Friday (7:30 am - 11 am)

Duration: Temporary to Permanent (will be going permanent after 13 weeks)

The role:

The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for programming and operating a variety of CNC controllers, including FANUC, Heidenhain, and Siemens. A fundamental knowledge of G Coding is essential, along with the ability to manage tooling and optimize speeds and feeds. The operator will run the machine and perform regular maintenance, collaborating with CAD CAM engineers on new product development and contributing to product manufacturability in the growing Energy sector.

The CNC Operator will also be required to measure products using micrometers and CMM for first-off production runs.

Qualifications:

CNC / Engineering apprenticeship would be an advantage.

Minimum Skills:

Strong mathematical and mechanical engineering skills.

Production-machinery maintenance experience.

Software programming via CAD and CAM programs and direct Machine Interface.

Metalworking and machine tooling expertise.

CNC machine programming skills.

Application of ISO quality standards.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience required.
