The Job:The Club Secretary is a pivotal role, acting as the key liaison between governing bodies, the business, and its staff. This role ensures the efficient administration of all affairs and compliance with the sports regulations.
Key Responsibilities:Administration:Liaise with governing bodies including the relevant sports association and others regarding registrations, transfers, and other official matters.Oversee contracts, ensuring all documentation is correct and submitted on time.Manage and coordinate all sports administrative duties.Governance and Compliance:Ensure the adherence to all rules, regulations, and policies set by governing bodies.Stay updated with any rule or policy changes and communicate these to relevant personnel.Match–Day Duties:Coordinate with officials, ensuring all logistical arrangements are in place.Oversee the submission of team sheets and ensure post–match reports are delivered to governing bodies as required.Meetings and Communication:Attend club meetings and provide administrative support, such as preparing minutes.Act as a key point of contact for external organisations and governing bodies.Communicate with other sports clubs regarding fixtures, loans, and other mutual topics.General Administration:Manage the club's administrative staff.Oversee club's licensing, insurance, and other official documentation.Assist in organizing club events and functions.Stakeholder Engagement:Foster strong relationships with other clubs, governing bodies, and stakeholders within the relevant sports community.Represent the club at league and association meetings.
The Person: (Essential skills and experience)Must have previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a professional sports environment.Thorough knowledge of the rules and regulations governing the industry.Strong organisational skills and attention to detail and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office and related sports industry software.

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm with 1 hour break, with flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the business.
