Clinical Team Leader - Brain Injury

I'm looking for qualified Registered Adult Nurses, Registered Mental Health Nurses or Registered Learning Disabilities Nurses, ( RMN's, RGN's or RNLD's ) for positions available in a specialist neurological care centre based in Aberdeen. There are both Part time and Full time roles available and can be flexible to fit in with your needs. The salary on offer is up to GBP49,000 per annum

Job Title: Senior Staff Nurse Service Type: Brain Injury/ Learning Disability RehabilitationLocation: Aberdeen, AberdeenshireSalary: GBP20.16 - GBP22.61 per annum depending on experience (plus 30% enhancement for nights (8pm-6am) and weekend working)Hours: 3 x 12 hour shifts per week - nights Contract Type: Permanent You will be:-

Registered Nurse or degree level qualification, possible further study.

-Experience in specialist palliative or neurological care depending on service requirement. Committed to service user involvement.

-Demonstrable experience of practising in a self-directed and highly motivated way

-An ability to provide teaching and mentorship in a clinical setting

-Able to effectively manage change and manage performance

-Clinical leadership skills

-Skills in leading clinical practice development for client group

-Proven skills in leading, building and influencing

-Effective verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to communicate difficult messages to service users and their families

-Negotiation and conflict management skills

The role:

-You will have responsibility to ensure effective performance management of all clinical staff in line with Sue Ryder policies and procedures for recruitment, induction, development, supervision, appraisal and discipline.

-To lead the nursing team in developing the quality of nursing care, acting as a source of support and advice to colleagues and relatives

-To ensure that clinical care is provided in line with multi professional, evidence based care plans, is timely and appropriate and that policies and procedures are adhered to

-Take responsibility for a service user group, consulting and liaising with the multi-disciplinary team, service users, family/carers over their care

-Liaise and communicate with other health and social care professionals in and outside agencies in the planning and delivery of service user care, including junior doctors on placement

-Prioritise health problems and intervene appropriately to assist the service user in complex, urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care

-Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate individualised care using evidence based guidelines

-Registered Nurse

-Willingness to undertake post registration training.

-An ability to demonstrate a commitment to continued professional development

-Awareness of current legislation within independent care sector

-Willingness to complete NMC recognised mentorship training
