We have a fabulous opportunity for a qualified nurse to join a leading care provider in a Clinical Lead role. This is a new position and has huge scope for growth and progression. The position will come with a lot of autonomy and you will play a key person within the organisation.
We would ideally like to have a band 7 (of higher) nurse.
Duties will include:
Carry out comprehensive needs assessments and develop customer care plans. Provide holistic, person centered nursing care, promoting optimum independence, enhancing the quality of life for customers with intellectual, physical or sensory disability in all aspects of living. Support the management of complex and enduring health and social care needs of individuals with an intellectual disability, including wellbeing. Provide practice supervision and monitoring of all care standards. Work within his/her Scope of Practice Adhere to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses and Midwives Escalate clinical concerns to the relevant NHS point of contact Provide a high standard of customer care based on evidence-based practice with reference to policies and procedures. Develop and maintain good and effective working relationships with all team members in an ethos of partnership in care. Encourage customer engagement in community activities and escort and participate in such activities thus promoting a socially inclusive model of living. Provide mentorship, feedback and training to all staff. Liaise effectively with all internal/external staff Liaise directly with customers/family members. Act as an advocate for customers and their families and provide information to empower them in decision making, goal setting and problem solving in order to optimise their contribution and facilitate their participation in community-based activities. Carry out customer assessment, develop/implement customer care plans based on needs identified and review accordingly. Record practice as per NMC guidelines. Support the successful implementation of quality control systems i.e. Audit. Ensure that staff within his /her responsibility have a clear understanding and knowledge of all policies pertaining to the safeguarding of Adults/Children Comply with all GDPR regulations. Comply with all Health and Safety Regulations/ Fire Regulations. All candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to work independently and capable of leading a team, knowledge of audit would be an advantage.
