Our client is a successful and award -winning property design and management consultancy specialising in the delivery of high profile, inspiring developments to a range of public and private sector clients across East Anglia. They are continuing to expand teams and are looking for a Civil Engineer to join their evolving team based in Norwich on a full time permanent basis.
The successful Civil Engineer will be responsible for providing management and expertise across a range of new and existing projects. This includes new build schools and extensions / remodelling of existing schools, care homes, residential houses and flats, historical building surveys and engineering, and involvement in many interesting and challenging public sector building projects.
Responsibilities:
Preparing designs, calculations and specifications cross our business portfolio,Carry out design and management of all types of structural service projects including producing budgets estimates, drawings, detailed service specifications, tender documentation and undertaking full contract administration duties on structural led projects,Providing advice to colleagues and clients on structural engineering issues,Preparing schedules for dilapidations, improvement schemes and structural surveys,Liaising with clients, contractors and colleagues to ensure work is delivered to schedule.Requirements:
A degree in Civil Engineering,Professional membership of the Institute of Structural Engineers and be working or prepared to work towards Chartered status,Knowledge of industry best practice and professional standards,Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplined team,Working knowledge of relevant design software (AutoCAD/Civil3d, MicroDrainage etc.),Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, with the ability to pick up new systems and processes quickly,A current CSCS site card or prepared to obtain following appointment.On offer for the Civil Engineer:
