Role: Residential Children's Support Worker

Location: Friday Bridge, Wisbech

Hours: 40 hour working week - varied working hours - earlies, lates, long days and weekends including 1 sleep-in per week.

Salary: GBP24,313,60 with GBP500 increase once you have passed the probation period

Busy Bee Recruitments are working alongside an amazing social care client and are seeking a enthusiastic and caring Youth Support Worker to come and join their friendly team supporting 4 young people between the ages of 8-16 years based in a cosy residential setting in Wisbech.

Our client is a well-established company offering a specialist residential children s home attached to a school for boys who have social, emotional, and behavioural needs. They have serviced Cambridgeshire and other local authorities for the past thirty-five years and are now recruiting for some more amazing Individuals to join their growing team.

Job role:

You will deliver emotional support to the young people. You will assist and promote the young people to live more independently. You will provide comfort and companion ship to those in your care. You will contribute to the maintenance of a positive, safe and homely environment. You will undertake observations on those in your care and will document this as necessary in their care plans. You will attend appointments, social visits, and days out with those in your care. To work in partnership with parents, social workers, other agencies, and other professionals linked to the young person s care plan, to effectively fulfil the responsibility of parenting the young people, ensuring the maintenance of family contact where appropriate.
