Children's Centre AdministratorIslington GBP22/hrStart date: 09/01/2024DBS required for this roleKey responsibilitiesTo be responsible to the Executive and Head of Children's Centre for providing effective confidential administrative and financial support to ensure the smooth running of the Children's Centre service.1. To take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons who you come into contact with.2. To be the first point of contact for all visitors to the centre, providing information or referring to the appropriate member of staff.3. To provide word-processing skills for the production of letters/reports and publicity material as required in connection with the duties of the post.4. To provide general clerical/administrative duties including minute taking for meetings, photocopying, filing, record keeping, maintaining diaries, receipt/distribution of post etc.5. To be responsible for the maintenance of confidential children's/families records and to liase with relevant bodies.Experience
Three years administrative experience with minimal supervisionsExperience of providing administrative support to a team of mangers/staffTwo year experience of using windows based IT and bespoke databases Skills
Sound knowledge and well-developed skills in the use of ICT, particularly the operation of work processing, database and spreadsheet programmesAbility to work to own initiative, organise own workload without direct supervision InterviewAbility to type 40 wpm.
