AS A CHID CARE ASSISTANT

YOU SHOULD

Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care

- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs

- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods

- Maintain a clean and organized childcare space

- Communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns that may arise

- Follow all health and safety guidelines and maintain proper documentation

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to engage and interact positively with children of various ages

- Strong organizational skills to manage schedules, activities, and paperwork

- Patience, empathy, and understanding when dealing with children's emotions or challenging behaviors

- Ability to adapt to different situations and handle emergencies calmly and effectively

- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR (preferred but not required)
