Are you a fully qualified Chemical Process Engineer looking to use your technical expertise to problem solve and develop new chemical plating and anodising processes? This dynamic and progressive SME is an award winning specialist metal plating / coatings business based in Birmingham. They are looking for a Chemical Process Engineer to join their Business Development team to offer technical process solutions to customers looking to use advanced coating, plating and anodising applications. This is a full time permanent position which comes with a full induction process on the job training and career path progression.
As a commercially minded Chemical Engineer, you will work closely with the technical sales and business development function using your analytical / physical chemistry and chemical process knowledge to solve challenging customer plating, coatings and anodising problems. Over time you will grow and develop into a full Technical Business Development Manager, covering industrial plating and coating applications in Automotive, Aerospace, Electronics, Scientific Instruments and Battery Technology.
To give you an idea of how this role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to be involved in:
Work closely with Sales and Business Development to develop new plating and anodising processes working with major Automotive OEMs, Aerospace Primes, tier 1 supplier and scientific instrument manufacturers.Research new processing applications identifying trends and opportunities.Feed your technical research and expertise into marketing and sales strategies through the company's website, social media and attendance at exhibitions.Work with existing and potential business / sales prospects in a technical advisor capacity. To apply for this role, you will need a degree in either Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with experience gained within metallic components coatings, plating or anodising. You will also require the following:
A strong track record of solving chemical and material coating related processing issuesExcellent communication and analytical skillsA good technical understanding of the chemistry surrounding metal coating, plating or anodising processes.
