We are looking for a Chef de Partie to join our little kitchen team in Spitalfields, with a keen love of good quality ingredients & proper cooking techniques. If you are looking for a kitchen with a positive, friendly atmosphere & a whole lot of creative licence, we might just be the place for you!
The role:
- Pay is based on experience, but starting from 25k + tronc (minimum 4k per year). This is negotiable. Pay can also be calculated at an hourly rate should you wish to work less than full time.
- 45-48hr week
- Keeping your section clean, tidy & stocked up
- Ensuring that the sous chef & head chef are aware of low stock or problems with stock
- Good knowlege of HASSP, keeping on top of all expected environmental health regulation.
- Running the hot or cold section, preparing plates according to the specifications of senior chefs.
The ideal candidate:
- Creative flare, and a genuine interest in food & good ingredient-led cooking. If you would like to contribute ideas for the main menu, you are very much encouraged to!
- Flexibility, excited by the prospect of a fluid menu with changing specials.
- Good cooking skills, traditional training is a plus but not necessary. We know some of the best chefs learn on the job!
- Mild-mannered, we have a lovely friendly environment in our kitchen & expect our chefs to foster and nurture this to make every day a pleasurable experience
