Our client is an Engineering company based in the Chesterfield area and they require a skilled Centre Lathe Turner to join them on a permanent basis after a temporary trial.

The role requires the use of various manual lathes in the workshop to produce parts related to breakdowns and refurbishment, manufacturing new parts using manual lathes with the specified material to high tolerances. You must have good manual turning skills and be able to thread cut, tapers, bearing tolerances, circlip grooves all to achieve accurate replacement parts.

The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 7.45am - 4pm and Friday 7.45am - 2.15pm. This is a basic 37 hour week and overtime will be paid at 1.5 times the basic rate.
