My client, a successful distribution business, is looking to recruit a Category Manager to develop and implement effective strategies to drive growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction within specific product categories within the organisation
As the Category Manager you will develop and execute comprehensive category strategies aligned with overall business objectives to identify market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to drive growth and profitability.
You will also have responsibility for assortment Planning, analysis of market data, consumer insights, and sales trends to curate and optimize product assortments whilst identifying opportunities for new product introductions and supplier collaborations to ensure a well-balanced and attractive assortment.
Other key responsibilities of the Category Manager will pricing and promotion, pricing strategies based on market dynamics, product positioning, and competitive analysis whilst developing and implementing promotional activities to maximize category performance and meet revenue targets.
You will be an accomplished Category Manager, ideally with experience gained in a consumer product environment and proven track record of supplier cost reduction and margin and profit growth.
Strong analytical skills along with real commercial acumen are essential as are the ability to manage budgets and a complex supply chain.
A CIPS Qualification is a preference.
