Sea Global are delighted to be partnering with a dynamic and innovativetransport company who are making waves in the UK transport sector. They are looking for an experienced Category Manager to join their team as they continue growing and servicing people across the UK.

Reporting into the Senior Category Manage, they are looking for someone who has experience with direct procurement within a similar environment and will be able to hit the ground running from day one.

Role & Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic category strategies across multiple different commodities.Build relationships with local and international suppliers, negotiating and ensuring deals align with business activities.Support and manage multiple projects from cradle to grave, driving strategy and communicating risks with the team & business.Develop and lead procurement process across sourcing and operational procurement processes. Experience & Requirements

Highly experienced within Direct Procurement in a Transport, Manufacturing, or similar environment.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent supplier management skills.Can undertake work and projects on their own initiative.Ideally degree and/or MCIPS qualified (however, this is not at all essential)
