We are recruiting for a Caretaker (Estates Technician) for Kirkley Hall and Ashington Campus.

Candidates will ideally have experience in a hands-on role and will have good DIY skills with experience using hand tools. You will also need to hold a driving licence and own transport and be willing to travel to other sites for meetings as required.

The successful candidate will be a key holder - responsible for opening and closing the site, main duties will include but are not limited to:

Walking around the full site to check everything is OK. Compliance checks on water, plant room, fire extinguishers etc Liaising with internal maintenance and trades teams as well as external contractors, escorting external contractors around site. Moving furniture, setting up rooms for events, meetings etc is the most regular activity. Monitoring the maintenance ticket system Responding to emails Manual handling/heavy lifting elements to the role.
