Carer for a gentleman 100 years young, E11 (Leytonstone) area of London, able to work for 5 hours a day, 5 days a week - not weekends - until around 6 pm. If you can only do 2 or 3 days, no problem - it could be a job-share. Preferably you should have some experience of care work, and maybe a health and social care qualification (although neither of these are essential). A reference will be required. Duties will include ensuring that the needs of the gentleman are met, including taking to the toilet if required, cooking and giving evening meal, using the washing machine, light cleaning, etc. Other carers will get gentleman up and put to bed. Until recently, gentleman was more-or-less self-sufficient and lived independently, but recent illness has changed that scenario unfortunately. The aim of employing someone is to ensure that during the day, the gentleman has somebody around for the majority of the time.
