I'm looking for a part time carer for my son.

He is 14 years old. He was diagnosed with classic autism as an infant and more recently ADHD. He is fully verbal. Functioning. His autism affects his behaviour, he finds eye contact with strangers difficult, he doesn't click with everyone and can become shy and withdrawn. On the other hand if you do succeed in connecting with him he is very engaging, funny, conversational and present. His special interests and hobbies include world war one and two, current affairs and politics, airsoft, pokemon, roblox, tanks, fnaf, etc.

My son is technically enrolled in a specialist school but does not attend. We're looking for a carer on a trial basis with the view to a long term job. 4 or 5 hours between the hours of 11am and 7pm which are flexible and negotiable.

I'm looking for someone to be a carer and companion to him. To help him and engage with him on a level with understanding and compassion.

We are a mixed race family, lgbt+ friendly, equal opportunities minded. This post is open to the best person for the job who all importantly takes an interest and connects with my son.
