As a CAD Draughtsperson you will specialise in the design and verification of existing construction based drawings at our offices in Stoke–on–Trent and other sites within the property portfolio.
You will be starting out in the career path of CAD but have the required experience to fulfil the role within the verification and production of new and construction based drawings. You will manage and maintain archives and read, comprehend and communicate complex information. You will demonstrate a can do attitude, with the ability to take ownership and act proactively to accomplish tasks related to the role and responsibilities.
Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Computer Aided Design qualification (7689) Award in Parametric Modelling level 1, 2 or 3.Award in 2D CAD 7689–05.Award in 3D CAD 7689–06.Level 3 certificate in CAD 7689–08.Engineering Science or Technological qualifications would be desirable.Ability to follow work instructions, read and interpret technical diagrams whilst reporting technical information as required.Excellent Maths skillsVerbal and communication skills.Excellent attention to detail.Confidence in the use of computers and software packages associated with the role.Possession of a full UK driving licence is essential. Main Responsibilities
Creating concept designs based on simple instructions for projects ranging from fit–outs to new developments.Interfacing with multiple departments interpreting project briefs, create maps, diagrams or plans that meet specifications and apply legislative guidelines.Carrying out verification and in depth research to confirm designs.Building and maintaining effective relationships with colleagues and clients.Utilising appropriate design software resources, such as autocad and solid works.Documenting work effectively using a range of resources, including but not limited to, Word, Visio, Adobe Acrobat and Excel.Maintaining current and archived information relative to the role.
