We have a long-standing client who are looking for a skilled CAD Designer to join their busy office in Leeds. They specialise in manufacturing lighting for the automotive sector and would like someone who had transferable skills to be an integral part of their design team.

Job Responsibilities

Working from specifications to design products for the automotive lighting sector. Using SolidWorks to complete drawings that can then be used in production. Liaising with Key stakeholders and engineering departments to develop new products and maintain current products. Create and compile CAD drawings to show step by step assembly and create control plans for the production of products. Trouble shoot and fault find new designs and improve existing products. Continuous administrations tasks including documentation of engineering drawings and filing within the established systems integrated within the company.

Job Requirements

Must be proficient in SolidWorks software. Past experience designing drawings for lighting or automotive parts. Excellent working knowledge in Microsoft Office Applications. A degree or higher qualification in mechanical engineering / design or equivalent. Ideally drive and have their own transport.
