We are currently recruiting for a Buying Assistant to join a well-established and successful FMCG business based in South Yorkshire.
You will be responsible for assisting the Buying Team to ensure continued growth within the category. As a Buying Assistant, you will need to be driven and dynamic and thrive working in a fast-paced retail environment. Some of your responsibilities will include.
Building, managing and retaining strong Supplier relationships Understanding product lines and relative timeframes Liaising with internal customers, suppliers and other departments Agreeing pricing & analysing figures within Excel Dealing with site and supplier queries Maintaining order data records and files Generating reports Key requirement for the role;
Experience of Buying Assistant within a retail / FMCG environment desirable Highly accurate with a good attention to detail Ability to manage a varied workload with conflicting deadlines Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels Good level of education - Excellent understanding of all MS Office products specifically Excel
