Global manufacturer requires a Buyer. Applicants could be Junior Buyers "stepping up" or have purchasing, supply chain or order management experience within manufacturing. Previous exposure to SAP, would be advantageous.

The Buyer will report to a Procurement Manager and will be responsible for operational, purchasing and supplier management tasks in SAP. The objective of the role is to ensure a continuous supply of materials to the production lines of this manufacturing facility. Raising and managing purchase orders in SAP, monitoring inventory levels and supplier performance, are also important elements.

Specific duties of the Buyer include:

Create, place and expedite purchase orders in SAP.Supplier orderbook management and communicationManage suppliers against OTD/OTIF metricsMonitor and inventory levelsMaintain procurement department data and BOMs in SAPCollaboration with stakeholders in engineering and production Buyer applicants should meet the following criteria:

Experience as a Junior Buyer / Buyer, or in purchasing, supply chain, logistics or order managementPrevious experience within a production manufacturing or engineering environmentSAP experienceMotivated, self-starter
