A client of ours in the Ipswich area are recruiting a Buyer to join their parts team. This is a full-time position working Monday - Thursday 8.15am - 5.00pm and Friday 8:15am - 4:45pm with every other Friday off. Paying between 25,000 - 29,000 per annum depending on experience.
Your key duties in this Buyer role will include but are not limited to:
Negotiating price conditions with suppliers for direct materials and components.Identifying and developing new suppliers, materials, and technologies.Collaborating with Engineering for supplier development.Report on KPIs.Seek out new methods of purchasing.Communicate with internal departments to ensure supplier performance is in line with contracted terms.Prepare contractual agreements and terms of supply.Keeping up to date with market trends.
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this role:
Educated to degree level or equivalent.MS Office Skills essential.Excellent communication skills.Ability to work under time pressure.Organised and able to prioritise.Purchasing and Procurement experience.
