Business Development Representative required by a rapidly growing start-up arm of an established hi tech battery company. This is a newly created role that is key for the business.
The successful Business Development Representative will have a proven track record of generating leads ideally in a start-up or an early stage company. The experience can be gained within a battery, technology, engineering or technical sector. You will establish and develop relationships with current and future customers, suppliers and other partners.
This is an exciting chance to positively impact a business at a key stage in its development. You can implement your ideas in a growing business that is embarking on a huge investment programme. This will be a fast paced and challenging sales role.
The Business Development Role:
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets, market share growth, and market expansion for battery energy storage systems.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including utilities, commercial businesses, and renewable energy developers.
Market Expansion: Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and potential partners to diversify and expand the company's customer base.
Sales Forecasting: Accurately forecast sales revenues, monitor sales performance, and make adjustments as needed to meet or exceed targets.
Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the battery energy storage systems and communicate the value proposition effectively to customers.
Contract Negotiations: Lead contract negotiations and ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the company.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and customer needs to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and operations, to align sales efforts with overall business goals.
Budget Management: Manage the sales budget, making efficient use of resources to maximize sales outcomes.
Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and opportunities to the Board of Directors.
The Business Development Representative:
Proven track record of business development within a battery, technology, engineering or technical sector.
Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
