Day to Day Duties
Our client prides themselves on providing exceptional service to their global network of customers.
The purpose of this role is to identify new business opportunities predominantly in air and sea freight.
You will manage your own diary of appointments, visiting clients to discuss their requirements in air, sea and road import and export services, nationally and internationally.
Your day to day duties will include:-
• Generation of sales leads through the various channels available.
• Booking and attending client visits to better understand their requirements.
• Undertaking a full and detailed fact find. Identifying the customer s needs and selling a solution based package.
• Working on a consulting basis to resolve client issues and identify additional opportunities.
• Account Management to ensure continuity of service.
Essential Skills
• Previous experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive or sales person.
• Computer literate with an understanding of MS packages
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a willingness to pick up the telephone.
• Attention to detail, understanding the client s requirements and making relevant recommendations.
Desirable Experience
• Previous experience within freight would be advantageous but not essential.
• Commitment and the desire to achieve goals and targets is favourable.
What training is provided?
A full, 'on the job' intensive training package will be offered starting on day one.
