My client is looking for Business Development Managers within Air/Ocean Freight. This position is to source, develop and secure new business from potential customers within an assigned region - Midlands
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
The purpose of the role is to source, develop and secure new air/ocean freight from potential customers within the UK.Identify new potential customers to develop relationships and knowledge in preparation for formal RFQ's.Diligently follow-up on all incoming sales leads and provide the originator detailed feedback.Regular meetings and dialogue with the Head of Sales, Regional Managers and Product Trade Lane Manager on competitor news/developments and detailed feedback on issues preventing new business wins.Have regular dialogue with all Commercial/ Product Management on target accounts.Make regular JSV's on larger identified opportunities with Commercial Trade Lane Manager and Head of Sales.
