Our client is a leading logistic business, who are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join the team. Our client offers international solutions, specialising in all freight transportation. The ideal candidate will need to have consistent industry knowledge.
The role is primarily securing new business, converting sales leads with logistic companies along with growing the business to branch out into distribution.
The role is hybrid but the candidate will be required to spend regular time in the office in Felixstowe and London Gateway primarily, to understand the team and the business

Ideally you will have been working in a logistics environment within the past 10 years and have an understanding of business costs when tendering for work.
Job Specifics
Candidate must be able to secure Internal external sales be confident to find leads contacts and follow up to conversion Be proactive and business focus 50/50 Warehousing and Transport Research new opportunities. Secure new business in alignment with the company s growth plan Maintain and develop existing accounts to full sales potential Promote and represent the company brand, differentiating our services from competitors. Forecast sales revenue, all to support helping the business grow and reach its full profit potential Understanding of setting business strategies and practices Build an effective relationship with clients, including solving complaints and continuous enhancement of client s satisfaction Have strong commercials, operations and business acumen are necessary as is the ability to identify and maximise opportunities Candidate Profile and Skills
Worked in a logistics environment consistently Candidate must have a proven track record maintaining Internal sales and securing external sales. Candidate must show experience within Container Logistics, Distribution and Warehousing Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines self-motivated, able to plan appointments and work load Good problem-solving skills and geographical knowledge Great customer service skills You must be a competent decision making and a team player Must hold a driving licences
