This remote and field based Business Development Manager role is working with a UK based EPCM company which specialises in the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of manufacturing plants and equipment within the chemical, water and gas sectors. You will be field based and required to work remotely from anywhere in the UK.

This Business Development Manager position is paying up to 50,000 and is accompanied by a strong benefits package which is inclusive a company car, private health care plan and enhanced pension scheme.

Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager :

The Business Development Manager will be in control of the management of their own sales region, identifying sales opportunities and achieving KPI's, alongside managing and growing existing relationships, with 80% new sales development.Leading the quotation/tender process as well as presenting quotations to clients including prompt follow ups.Work closely with the Proposals Department to ensure an excellent standard of quotation is prepared and presented.Work with Senior Management to set and monitor sales targets to achieve objectives.Participate in trade shows as required.The Business Development Manager will monitor trends, competitor data and gather market intelligence relating to the Tank, Vessel & Silo industry, as well as the creation of reports and forecasts as and when required.Liaise with various engineering departments.

Alongside being a very driven and motivated individual, the Business Development Manager will hold previous experience working in a new or existing sales role, within a mechanical engineering environment (with experience working in the tank & vessels environment being desired but not essential). You will also hold a willingness to travel - as although this is a remote, home-based role - you will be required to travel covering UK wide with occasional staying away required.
