An established Contract Furniture dealership is currently recruiting for a Business development manager to join their team. The company work on a range of commercial projects including contemporary work space, libraries, retail, restaurants and museums and galleries.
Someone who has worked in the furniture/fit out industry for a dealership. They would have product experience, an understanding of the sales process that we go through. A great communicator, someone with a confident but nice way about them. You have to remember, this role involves selling some pretty costly solutions and that are pivotal to a business and its continuity. They need to be someone who inspires confidence and reliability. They should be based in Northamptonshire, Milton Keynes or reasonably close, i.e. Bedford if necessary. This is a field role, but most time is in the office there is no WFH. They will be visiting clients for the projects but need to find them first. They need to be resilient, resourceful and presentable Someone from a B2B environment. Ideally selling stationery, copiers, telecoms etc. Someone with experience of the direct sales process. Unless they re especially talented, we re not interested in people that have been catalogue droppers for a manufacturer from any industry. Someone from a hard sales industry like estate agency.
