Business Development Manager (Partnerships and Corporate within the Travel and Leisure Sector)- Stevenage - Salary from GBP40,000 to GBP60,000 basic + negotiable commission/ performance related bonus scheme.

An engaging, energetic and highly motivated Business Development Manager is required to join an ambitious and successful Leisure and Corporate Travel Organisation. We are looking for a experienced Leisure and/or Business travel professional to drive the business development function and to be at the forefront of the organisations business growth.

This is a hybrid, standalone role based in Stevenage. You will report directly to the businesses Managing Director and will be the key driver of the businesses, partnership, leisure and corporate expansion. You will have the autonomy to support the shaping of the organisations business growth strategic plan and will be supported by the businesses marketing and operations function in the delivery of this plan.

The successful candidate for this role will have experience of working within a Business Development role within the travel sector and will have a broad understanding of online travel booking technology alongside new client identification, initiating strategic marketing plans and leading new business meetings.

As Business Development Manager you will ultimately be responsible for:

Identification of potential leisure and corporate clients using a range of research and business development tools and technologyThe development business opportunities to grow revenue with existing clients.Initiating sales emails campaigns to target clients.Lead generation and qualification of potential new corporate and partnership clientsEstablish and nurture great working relationships new clients.Lead new business meetings with both internal and external stakeholders.Delivery of weekly sales and new business development reports and updates with the businesses Managing Director The ideal Business Development Manager candidate will need:

Proven sales or business development background within the corporate and/or partnership travel sector (this is essential)A solid understanding of online booking technologyExperience of using CRM systems and networking tools such as LinkedInExcellent communication skills, written and verbalCommercial acumenA proven track record in establishing and nurturing strong professional relationshipsStrong commercial awareness Working Monday to Friday from 9-5:30 you will be based in a modern and friendly office in Stevenage, you can expect to receive a salary that reflects your experience and is in line with market rates hence the salary will be between GBP40,000 to GBP60,000 plus negotiable commission / bonus scheme.
