Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive to join our clients team. As a Sales Executive, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities and cultivating strong relationships with potential clients. Your expertise in sales and understanding of logistics will contribute to expanding their customer base and reinforcing their position as a preferred freight forwarding partner in the market.
Responsibilities:
1. Business Development: Identify and prospect potential clients in various industries to expand their customer base. Research and analyse market trends to discover new business opportunities.
2. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, understanding their shipping requirements, and providing tailored logistics solutions.
3. Sales Strategies: Develop effective sales strategies and tactics to achieve individual and team sales targets. Collaborate with the sales team to implement cohesive approaches for maximising business growth.
4. Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling presentations and proposals to clients, showcasing the benefits of their freight forwarding services and addressing their specific needs.
5. Negotiations: Skillfully negotiate terms and contracts with clients to ensure mutual satisfaction and secure profitable business deals.
6. Market Analysis: Keep abreast of industry trends, competitors' activities, and market dynamics to remain competitive and adaptable in the ever-changing logistics landscape.
7. Customer Feedback: Gather customer feedback and market insights to enhance their service offerings and improve overall customer satisfaction.
8. CRM Utilisation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records in their Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to track progress and facilitate effective follow-ups.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in the freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping industry.
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and Incoterms is an advantage.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex logistics concepts to clients.
- Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
- Adaptability and a positive attitude to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-evolving industry.
