Right Now Group are seeking a dynamic and results driven Business Development Manager to join our client who are a medium sized Freight Forwarder. The ideal candidate would be experienced Sales/Business Development professional with a proven track record of securing and developing new business within the Freight and Logistics sector predominately dealing with Air Freight Consignments but you will also be able to cross sell into other modes AIR / ROAD / SEA. Key Responsibilities
To build and develop relationships with new, existing and previous clients.Achieve financial targets set by the business.Completing spot and regular quotations for new & existing business, supporting wider sales functions.Arrange and attend client visits both remotely and in person.Actively engage customers with consultative sales techniques to provide mutual beneficial and positive customer experiences.Targeted telephone sales to understand needs and provide the right solution.Record and track lapsed client activity and proactively seek to convert back to active clients.Ensure client contact details are up to date using CRM system.Actively promote new service offerings externally to clients. Desirable Skills & Experience
Strong sales & customer service skills who can effectively interact with people across cultures and countries.Air, Ocean & Road (we would consider having a specialism in Air or Ocean)Display a hungry and flexible attitude.Knowledge of supplier service offerings and changes in market conditions.An existing book of business/contacts would be highly beneficial.
