As a Business Development Representative - In Licensing, you will play a crucial role in identifying, evaluating, and securing strategic partnerships and licensing opportunities for our pharmaceutical portfolio. You will be responsible for cultivating relationships with potential partners, negotiating licensing agreements, and contributing to the overall growth and success of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential in-licensing opportunities.
Analyse industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform business development strategies.
Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential licensing opportunities.
Evaluate potential partnerships and licensing agreements based on strategic fit and business impact.
Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and other potential partners.
Collaborate with internal teams to understand product portfolios and identify areas for collaboration.
Negotiation and Deal Closure: Lead negotiations for licensing agreements, ensuring favourable terms and conditions.
Work closely with legal and finance teams to finalize and execute licensing agreements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field.
1+ years of experience in a Business Development (or similar) role
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Desirable
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical product development, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
Demonstrated success in expanding and diversifying a pharmaceutical company's product portfolio.
Proven track record of successfully negotiating and closing licensing agreements.
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical product development and regulatory processes.
