We are seeking to recruit a Business Analyst to help develop and enhance our contract performance and portfolio. OCS/LNER is undertaking an exciting period of growth and change which is expanding the information needs of the contract, the appointment to this role is very important in meeting those needs.
You will support the senior management team with reliable service delivery of systems throughout the contract, in delivering a Safe, efficient and Quality service to our customers and clients by using a suite of management information.
This is a broad-ranging role in a fast-paced environment and diverse team, providing the post holder with the opportunity to utilise and develop skills in data management, data modelling, data analysis and data visualisation. The post holder will make a key contribution to the LNER Contract by delivering clear insight into a wide range of data performance metrics, including the scrutiny of underlying trends and the use of benchmarking to measure performance. This will be achieved by increasing the breadth of Power BI reports , utilising various systems and visualisations available to stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have a customer focussed approach, a keen eye for detail and possess well developed numerical, analytical and organisational skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills are an essential part of the role and will be required to effectively understand, present and explain complex information to a range of audiences across contract.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Assist with the planning and scheduling of Organized, route service requirements including (but not limited to) Diagram planning, Deep Cleans, Engineering works, Strike action, Materials and Supplies.Responsibility for the scheduling and delivery of reactive service requirements including (but not limited to) routine cleaning, specialist cleaning to LNER Assets and locations within the contract scope.Operational day to day delivery of a centralised reporting service for administrative reporting including (but not limited to) absence notifications, incident notifications, System updates and escalation to the relevant manager.Ensure that all operational changes to the LNER diagrams, programs and schedules are monitored proactively and that changes are communicated to operational teamsCommunication across the LNER contract ensuring information is cascaded to internal teams, the client and other internal and external stakeholders as required.Communicate to the operational teams any reactive requests or other operational requirementsPerform root cause analysis of contract data and reportWork closely with management team and LNER Client in order to identify and translate their needs into solution designs and systems specifications.Produce detailed data reports where required using various contract data sources (PowerBI, Auditing platforms, smart sheets and associated smartforms and proof or presence systems), ensuring these are kept up to date.Detailed reporting around our key performance indicators (KPIs) utilising a suite of systemsStakeholder management across all levels from Senior Management to our operational colleagues, both internally and with the LNER clientsSupport the delivery of a high-performance culture by maintaining systems standards, constantly seeking improvements through data reviews and effectively liaising with the operational management teamUtilizing management information from a wide range of systems and horizon scanning to make regular recommendations for discussion and consideration to rectify issues, manage and improve contract performance.Identifying and act upon any trends observed escalating to the Operational Delivery Manager and Senior People Operations Manager.
