This is a rare bird indeed not many around and not many come up for sale. Finished in red, this striking Burny TB-70 Thunderbird Bass is simply superb, well built and a real head turner.
Nicely appointed details such as chrome pickup surrounds for the TGI AlnicoV pickups and a cast solid adjustable bridge; the Bass is active with the battery being housed in the rear cavity. The active electronics gives the Bass plenty thump and a good range of sounds and tones.
The neck is nice and comfortable somewhere between a C and D shape.
It’s been very well looked after with just a few nicks around the edges with some being painted in and a painted chip on the neck. Check the photos for closer detailing and condition. Everything works as it should; neck is straight with excellent frets with loads of life. The Bass has recently been detailed and serviced, fingerboard cleaned and oiled, frets polished and a fresh new battery for the circuitry.
All original except for the control knobs which would have been gold, everything else is as it came from the factory.. Will appeal to both players and collectors of vintage Japan guitars.
