A rare 1951 BSA Bantam 125cc two stroke motor cycle. All in full working order. Bought it in 1966 and reconditioned it; re-bored, new piston rings;big end bearings clutch;new head; brake shoes etc.Zeroed the speedo when it went on the road in August 66 and used the bike regularly to go to school, commute etc. since 1974 roughly it's been little used and in a shed. The petrol in the tank must be from about 1983 which is why the bike starts so well even after sitting idle for a year or two. Put a new battery on it a couple of years ago and I still have the original 1951 one although it's clogged up now. This Bantam is one of the rare ones with battery and an ammeter fitted into the headlight top.
Electric horn and a double seat with footrests although the seat cover has 3 tears in it. Seat cover should be black but we only had the light blue vinyl in 1966.
Don't want to really part with it but it's not being given the TLC it deserves and merits going to a good home.
Original reg no GM5290 was sold in 1986 hence AAO213A.
