Join an exciting and expanding youth performing arts charity as a member of our Board of Trustees.
MTA uses the transformative power of the performing arts to enrich and enhance young people's lives in Lewisham.
Montage Theatre Arts (MTA) is a highly respected, Lewisham-based charity that has been active in the community for over 25 years. MTA believe in the transformative power of the performing arts, and its ability to positively impact the lives of the children and young people. The charity is firmly community-based and prioritises creating a safe environment where children and young people can flourish through equal opportunity arts provision, removing any financial or perceived social barrier to access. MTA is a place where young people learn transferable life skills, find a sense of belonging and create a community. Building confidence, encouraging critical and empathetic thinking, learning through play, creating new friendship networks, raising aspirations, and keeping vulnerable children off the street are just some of the benefits MTA offer to its community.
The organisation is now seeking to complement their existing Board with two new Trustees. Our current trustees are professionals from a variety of industries who fully support the work undertaken by the charity and are encouraged to play a full part in the vibrant life of the organisation.
MTA welcomes applications from a variety of backgrounds, but specific knowledge and experience within one, or more, of the following fields would be beneficial to the organisation:
