Trident Healthcare Solutions are currently looking for an experienced Band 6 Biomedical Scientist in Histology for a locum vacancy in East of England.

What will you be doing as a Biomedical Scientist?:
Undertake routine and specialised laboratory techniques in the processing of diagnostic and Histology.Provide specialist technical advice to clinicians as to the appropriateness of tests and timescales.Participate in and assist with clinical trials, the development of new tests and research & validation of equipment.Provide technical advice to clinical staff.Perform and interpret routine and Specialist Biomedical investigations and to participate daily in the scientific and technical activities of the laboratory section under the supervision of senior staff.Communicate efficiently and courteously at all times (face to face, telephone or electronic methods).Attend and participate positively in laboratory and other meetings as directed by Laboratory senior staff.Report all incidents and adverse events to senior staff. What experience as a Biomedical Scientist do you need to hold?:
HCPC State Registration as a Biomedical Scientist in Histopathology.BSc ( Hons) Biomedical degree of equivalent.IBMS Specialist Portfolio ( or equivalent).Advanced working knowledge of Histopathology techniques and practices.Knowledge of computer applications and LIMS including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Statistical Packages. The successful Biomedical Scientist will need to hold a competence in basic tissue dissection and apply this working knowledge in the laboratory.
