Yolk Recruitment is searching for a Bid Officer to work with a leading defence client pushing the boundaries of technologies in their sector.

This role is focused on coordinating and managing research, concepts and technology bids into various externally funded frameworks. You will be responsible for driving decisions, and forming and leading bid teams to win new and interesting work that will help secure the future of the business.

Responsibilities

To be a part of the Concepts and Technology team working closely with finance, commercial, Future Systems and technical functions.To provide assistance to other Win Team Leads in the Concepts and Technology teamsYou will have the opportunity to form collaborative teams with industrial partners and academia.You will be managing several bids simultaneously, often in tight timescales.Building relationships and working with knowledgeable and experienced colleagues to achieve timely and high quality outputs.You will be responsible for allocating and managing tendering spend, tracking bid progress and ensuring that the business submits compelling, competitive and winning bids.

Essentials

Bid or project management experienceThe drive to create momentum and excitement within bid teams and obtain commitment to deliver timely outputsAbility to provide improvements to bids and frameworksAn interest in and a level of understanding of technologies is beneficialExperience in the aerospace or defence sector

Degree level qualification or equivalentBusiness development experienceExperience of managing small teams
