Behaviour Support Worker - Jan 2024 start

Pay GBP85 - GBP105 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training and qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are 6 months minimum experience working with Children or Adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities and Challenging behaviour either in a school, residential setting, or any other capacity which involved the face to face care of people with these specific needs. This is a temporary to permanent position meaning that you would spend the first 12 weeks on supply and then be offered a permanent contract after that.

The role

The responsibilities of a Behaviour Support Worker at this school are as follows: supporting the class teacher to deliver work in accordance with the national curriculum, supporting the class teacher to manage behaviour, supporting pupils on a one to one basis with work, contributing to record keeping, liaising with parents and multidisciplinary teams and attending school trips/outings.

Requirements

To be considered for the Behaviour Support Worker position, you will:

Have 6 months minimum experience working with young people with challenging behaviour either in a school or similar settingBe available Monday to Friday 08 30Be willing to attend a two day positive behaviour management course.Be physically fit and energetic. Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
