About the Trust
The University Hospital of North Tees is located on the outskirts of Stockton town centre, and it is easily accessible via both car and public transport. There is onsite parking and additional visitor car parking on Hardwick Road (fees will apply). It has an onsite restaurant where staff are eligible for a discount. What you'll be responsible for:
Lab Operational Service Lead, managing operational delivery of service, Monitoring of KPIs and response to Customer Demand.Make significant contribution to the development of the medium to long term strategy for the service and to ensure that the fundamental aspects of care are in place.The Laboratory Operational Service Lead will provide leadership which inspires, motivates and empowers others.Secure and assure the highest standards of service by providing leadership to the professional and direct staff within the Quality Control Team teams and services for which the post holder is accountableEnsure that administrative and section areas are designed and delivered to achieve the highest standards of delivery within the serviceEstablish working relationships with service users and departments thus ensuring a high quality of service to clientsEnsure Team Leaders have access to leadership development and actively empower staff within their teams to improve services, care and maintain high standards You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation You'll have the following skills/experience:
Master's level or equivalent or comparable experience.Evidence of continuing personal development.Experience of Health Service Management or experience within comparable sector.Demonstrable practical experience of managing a service undertaking business planning and implementing significant change.Familiarity / Experience with NHS management structures and processExperience of the performance management and planning agenda; ability to work effectively across a range of professionals.Experience of interpreting complex data and production of high-quality performance reports using spreadsheets and graphical presentation. This role may require you to show evidence of education at Masters level or at least 2 years relevant experience.
