Due to growth and expansion, a leading manufacturer has a new vacancy for an Automation Engineer to join the team at their recently opened state of the art plant. An experienced Automation Engineer, you will design, commission production & test equipment and install & program PLC controllers.

Commutable from: Leamington Spa, Warwick, Coventry, Banbury, Stratford, Birmingham.

Salary: 40,000 - 48,000 + benefits

Suitable for: Automation Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Electrician.

The Role

Design, build and commission production and test equipment/rigs for the manufacturing department.

Install and program PLC controllers into new production and test equipment.

Develop and upgrade existing equipment to improve quality and throughput.

Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make modifications.

Maintain tools and equipment required to perform the role effectively.

Inspecting machinery, equipment, buildings, and systems

Ability to follow a maintenance schedule to ensure that all routine tasks are completed.

The Person

Qualified to HNC/HND in Electrical.

Knowledge of production and test equipment/rigs.

Experience of installing & programming PLC controllers.

Electrical experience (preferably time served/HNC).

Experience of programming HMI panels.
