Our client, a multidisciplinary environmental consultancy, are seeking an experienced geo-environmental specialist / geologist to help support a rapidly increasing project portfolio. Based out of their HQ in Edinburgh, the ideal candidate would have experience in team leadership across an array of disciplines, such as Contaminated Land Site Investigations, Geotech and Mineral Assessments, Coal Mining EIAs and Risk Assessment etc. Due to the hands-on approach that the entire business takes to SI, you will be expected to make occasional site visits across Scotland, with sporadic overnight stays (costs covered) and 2 days in the Edinburgh office per week however as a flexible-working committed business, there is room for variation on working schedule where required. As an Associate Geo-Environmental Specialist, the opportunity to lead a team, while continuing to take a practical approach to project work, is a huge benefit of this opportunity. Experience / Requirements: Bachelor s Degree in; Geology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry (or related discipline). Master s Degree in Environmental or Contaminated Land field is advantageous (non-essential) Familiarity leading a team across high profile projects (UK-based preferable). Professional accreditation / membership. East Central Belt-based and able to travel to office 2 days a week. Experience on both site-base and office work.
