REED Business Support Colchester are delighted to be representing an amazing Property Company based in Central Colchester recruiting for a Trainee/Assistant Property Manager.
This is a fabulous opportunity for the right person as they are looking to take someone on as a Trainee/Assistant Property Manager to then train them up to be a fully–fledged Property Manager within the Leasehold and Estate Management Team. This role offers tons of progression, training and development.
You do not need experience within property for this role, however some experience within a property/estate agency environment would be desirable for this role.
The Role: This is a varied role where you will learn the skills and build the foundation to becoming a property manager. You will be the main point of contact for leaseholders dealing with enquiries and tasks set by the Team.
Main duties included;
To be office based during our opening hoursTo cover the central phone line with the Block Administration ManagerTo take a record of any maintenance issues which are reported across our portfolio on a day–to–day basis by telephone and/or emailTo deal with communal maintenance issues when reported whilst liaising with contractors, the customer and the relevant property manager for the siteTo utilise our property management software to raise job orders and update client recordsTo manage car parks and their contracts across our portfolioTo accompany property managers to meetings if required to take notes and/or supportThese will occasionally be in the evening undertake training on preparing management packs for leaseholders & freeholders when they sell their property and cover these duties in the absence of the Block Administration ManagerTo assist the Accounts Team by taking telephone payments as and when requiredTo review central records for the portfolio such as Health & Safety requirements and Section 20 works.Liaise with the relevant property manager when these require updating and assist with booking relevant worksTo assist in day–to–day office duties and support the property managers (this may include issuing of new fobs, keys, filing, assisting with mail merges, post etc.)To oversee the take on of new sites and the handover of outgoing sites to ensure all information is received and providedTo undertake training on becoming a qualified property manager and to manage a small portfolio of estates and blocks (it will be expected at that time, that you carry out all duties of a property manager for these sites)You will need a driver's license for this role due to needing to visit clients.
