This role would suit a senior support worker looking to step up to their first Assistant Manager role or an existing Assistant Manager.
The role of Assistant Manager is to support and assist the supported living Home Manager in all aspects of the day–to–day running of the home, assessing staff performance and the quality of the care delivered. Guiding and inspiring team members to make a positive difference to service users' lives and ensuring that dignity, respect, and inclusion is at the centre of practice.Residents are supported to live as independently as possible. Providing great training opportunities for staff to ensure they have all the skills that they need to assist the lovely people that are cared for, to live a safe, structured, and fulfilled lifestyle.
This is a small supported living home registered for 6 residents who have Learning disabilities and some physical disabilities, who receive support from a friendly kind staff team.
This home is part of a large Care company that still manages to maintain that warm family feel, with great support networks to include regular supervision, coaching, and mentoring for all staff. Homes are kept small for that personal touch and to ensure a person–centered approach for each person that lives within the home. Feedback from staff is encouraged to allow growth as a care company and to remain connected with the staff who provide the hands–on care.
The staff team are an established team all bringing their own qualities and ideas to enhance the service.
The Assistant Manager must be able to demonstrate the competency requirements of a Senior Support Worker with a minimum of an NVQ/QCF level 3 in Health & Social Care and be prepared to act on behalf of the Registered Manager in their absence and be willing to study towards a level 4/5 Diploma.This position is full–time (37.5 hrs) and involves working on a rota pattern.An enhanced DBS is a requirement of the position.Driving an advantage but not essential Schedule:• Day shift• Night shift
