Our client are a leading Builders Merchant providing Building Supplies to a mixture of contractors, housing associations, house builders, and end users.
Due to an internal promotion, our client are looking for an Assistant Branch Manager to help lead a successful and busy branch in the East Sussex area. The branch has a team of 14 staff and as a business they sell a full range of building materials. As this is a medium sized branch they need someone who is happy to get involved in all aspects of the branch management and who is equally storng at Sales and Operations.
The Assistant Branch Manager role is a varied one. Below are examples of some of the jobs you will be expected to perform:
Support the branch in controlling stock levels, ensuring core ranges are readily available. Ensure customer service is delivered to a best-in-class standard. Maintain Company standards within the branch Supervise the branch team, troubleshooting where problems occur Co-ordinate promotional activity Ensuring Health & Safety policies and procedures are adhered to & that staff training is carried out where required Assuming managerial duties when the manager is not available Our working hours are Monday to Friday, 7.30 am to 5.00 pm & every other Saturday, 8.00 am to 1.00pm.
