Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working with an exciting & employee-focused business based in Sheffield as they look to recruit an ambitious Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis.
In this newly created role, you will join the team as an Assistant Accountant and be responsible for supporting with the monthly management accounts including accruals, prepayments and journal postings whilst providing essential contribution to general upkeep of the finance department.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant:
Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts Posting accruals, prepayments, and other journals Processing sales orders and setting up new projects on the accounting system Balance sheet & intercompany reconciliations Assist with the implementation of a new finance system Generating quarterly VAT figures Provide information for the year-end audit Maintain the fixed assets register and posting monthly depreciation Analysis of overhead spend Completing ONS reports Cover for sales ledger and purchase ledger during holiday periods Key Candidate requirements:
