Overview:

We are currently looking for a dynamic Assistant Accountant to join a leading business in Eccles on a permanent basis. The main purpose of this role is to support in preparing Management Accounts and other financial reporting, whilst enhancing the accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ownership of two branches of a large trading subsidiary includes posting journals, reconciling to sales and margin reports, issuing branch accounts, and responding to queries.

• Assist with statutory accounts preparation, including preparation of Tax & Reporting packs.

• Help drive process improvements and streamline operations.

• Match costs, reconcile, and validate accuracy with accounts.

• Production of weekly sales and gross profit reports including identification of anomalies.

• Reconciliation of invoices to sales projections and calculating commission payable.

• Payroll posting.

Requirements:

• AAT Level 3 qualified with prior relevant Finance experience.

• Reporting experience across all the elements of management accounting in an industry environment.

• Proficient with pivot tables and v-lookups in Excel.

• Good understanding of Double Entries

• Ability to prepare and manually post Journals.
