An Applications Engineer is required for a well established OEM of CNC machine tools here in the UK.

Responsibilities for the role include -
Provide a high standard of technical support to customers in terms of machine demonstrationsPrepare and prove machining methods, strategies and cycle time estimations, designed to provide solutions to customers' manufacturing problems.Working on a range of machining centres and mill turn combi'sAssisting customers with troubleshooting support and guidance, either remotely or on siteSupporting installation teams with new machine installations, providing the customer with user training and operating instructionsUse of CAM software, as well as creating programmes long hand at the machineFrequent travel to customer sites all over the UK for demos and training, with overnight stays required at times You'll be working within an already established team of applications engineers, collaborating and working towards the same goal, so being able to work effectively with colleagues, as well as representing the brand on site with customers is absolutely essential.

To be successful as an applications engineer, were looking for the following skills and experience -- Previously an Applications Engineer, CNC Programmer, or CNC Manufacturing Engineer- Ability to programme CNC Mills or Mill Turn combi's, writing programmes longhand to machine complex parts- Be able to demonstrate cutting method techniques, tooling suggestions, and a high level of exposure to machining a variety of materials- Willingness to travel nationally, and be prepared to stay overnight if required- Clean driving license
