Here is a rare Aphex Compellor/Aural Exciter Model 303. It is a mono compressor.

It is a user friendly multiprocessor containing a compressor, leveller, peak limiter

and Aural Exciter. Designed for gentle, subtle, transparent dynamic processing.

It delivers intelligent compression, levelling and peak limiting simultaneously.

These were used extensively in the audio and broadcast industries due to their

capability of enhancing audio without signal degradation or adding artefacts.

It's in proper working condition and was serviced a few months agoat West 12 Audio

in west London. As one can see from the photos, there is some rust at the top panel

of the rack unit. This is purely cosmetic. I have replaced a few of the control knobs

that were missing when I purchased this a few years ago. The strip covering for

the strip indicator lights is missing, but this doesn't affect operation and function in

any way. Please note that the Y-cable (male/female XLR to TRS) is included in the

sale along with the kettle lead (see photos).

It's a classic unit, and would be an excellent addition to a DAW front end for those

looking for a transparent (as opposed to coloured) compressor.
