Very rare tactile pair of antique metal salts in the style of a sea urchin supported by coral springing up from the seashore. They are copies / test versions of a solid silver George IV design made by John Bridge in
the 1820s - search for sea urchin in the V&A museum archives, it is currently on display in one of their galleries.
They are an actual pair not matched and come apart if you wanted to clean them. Both marked on the bottom 2516, one side has a zero. They both have non solid silver marks (presume they are silver plate or Sheffield plate) on the coral where it branches from underneath.
Can't date them not being solid silver, but could be mid 1800s. One has light recent corrosion inside which I've only just noticed as they've had mini shells in them for the last few years - ie not significant / long term corrosion, should clean up ok.
