A Perfect Creation - a book by Robert A. Russell
Description
Jesus really loves his Father, God. He loves him despite the fact that his Father has become a dejected, isolated, rude, lazy noodle that despises humanity, his supposed perfect creation. So, he does what any good son would do, and hosts an intervention for his Father in a rec center.
The plan is this: send the Almighty Father back to Earth, stripped of his power, in hopes that he rekindles his love for humanity (and becomes less of a dick in the process). A decent plan, except for the fact that the man who architected the plan and convinced Jesus that it was a good idea, the Archangel Gabriel, is a sociopath, albeit a handsome one, that wants God dead and to rule Heaven for his own. The Archangel even hires Satan, a known entity in the world of evil, to kill God once he enters the Earthly domain.
It's Revelation, baby. The end times. Just a little different than how the Bible thought it would unravel, though.
Customer reviews:
"A funny, exciting story. "A Perfect Creation," from start to finish, delivers laughs. This book, while often funny and light, also has depth in its discussion of what being human is. "A Perfect Creation" delivers on all fronts." Amazon.com
"Humorous Read, Leaves You Thinking. An easy read that is full of humor! The characters are charming and get ready for a twist. the dialogue often leaves you questioning your relationship with your own version of faith, so despite being light hearted, I left the book with some philosophical musings."
